Our Location
The first time you see this property prepare to be stunned by the spectacular views from the historical Fort Point plateau. To the east you look down on the famous historical landmark, Battle Rock. Looking beyond Battle Rock you can look down the beach for miles, watching the waves wash up the beaches. Looking South you look out to the open waters of the Pacific and the geographical rock outcroppings of the Red Fish Reserve. Facing east, you can watch local fishing boats being lifted out or put into the water from one of only two dolly docks in the United States and one of only six in the world. Every unit on The Point has unobstructed water and beach views and all are furnished luxuriously.
The Point also has a deck that sits on the very end of the south point of the property with spectacular unobstructed views. Enjoy your favorite beverage on the deck and if you are lucky you can watch the migrating whales feeding in the harbor. You are also under the flight path of Canadian geese which honk their way north in spring and south in the fall.
A Home From Home
All residences are equipped with high end appliances and thoughtful touches. Each feature a queen size bed with heated mattress pad & extra soft topper, rainforest shower, heated bidet toilet seat, heated bathroom floors, fire place, large TV, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and folding desk for the vacationing tele-commuter. The two-story unit has a full gourmet kitchen and a large TV in the living space.
The two story West Side Residence and the Studio feature a full gourmet kitchen with 4 burner induction cooktop, large refrigerator and large oven/convection microwave.

I have been a lifelong educator, teaching in the classroom for 21 years and then running an educational nonprofit for 23 years. I am an avid cyclist and enjoy traveling in different countries by bicycle.
A couple of years ago, when I was riding my bike from California to Canada, I stumbled across Port Orford. I was awed by the beauty of ocean and beaches. One of the properties with the most amazing views was for sale and I was lucky enough to buy it. I then decided that I wanted to share this spectacular beauty with others and The Point was started!
Co-host Paul enjoys a nomadic lifestyle often in Thailand and is co-visionary of this project.
Co-host Brook is a long time local resident and manager of The Point. She will greet you upon your arrival and will be available to answer your questions.
